SIGN ON: Solidarity with D.C. Tenants Facing Displacement by Catholic Church!

We recently learned that the Catholic Church is putting several rent control buildings up for sale in the rapidly gentrifying Rhode Island Avenue neighborhood of Northeast Washington, D.C. Justice First and LinkUp are working with tenants in four buildings, some of whom have lived in their units for much of their lives, and are at imminent risk of displacement.

In their letter (click here to download PDF), tenants appeal to all those in solidarity to sign onto to their ask that the Catholic Church to work with them to ensure that their homes and families are protected from displacement and potential homelessness. Sign below in solidarity with the tenants of 636 Girard St. N.E., 628 Girard St. N.E., 1265 Raum St. N.E, and 1364 Bryant St. N.E.
