Justice First is holding a Coordinated Call-In Day this Thursday, March 25. Tomorrow, we will flood the D.C. Council Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs with phone call demanding that they support our bill for a winter moratorium on heat shutoffs.

D.C. PSC approves Pepco rip-off

Despite over 2,000 letters to the D.C. Public Service Commission and D.C. Councilmembers vehemently opposing Pepco’s proposal for a $44.5 million rate hike and demanding a 50 percent rollback in rates, the Commission has approved a $19.8 million rate hike. Justice First holds that no rate hike is acceptable, not even so-called moderate ones.
